The Armenian diaspora is dispersed widely throughout many countries across the globe and aim of the "2016 Pan-Armenian Entertainment Awards" is to focus on the preservation of culture and history by creating a bridge between the generations.
Davit Avetisyan, director of Pan-Armenian Television, commented on the awards ceremony, saying that it creates a platform whereby Armenia and the diaspora can connect. The unique event is to showcase musicians from popular genres, including jazz, rock, and pop from some of the most famous Armenian performers.

He hopes that the new generation will become more associated with their homeland, having spent many years outside of Armenia. Leaders within the community will be present at the awards and the production, and creative teams will pull out all the stops to ensure that the occasion is a success.
